Sunday Reflection: July 26, 2020

Good morning church,

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Today we lift before the following families in prayer, as well as, all those who we may not be aware of.  We ask that you hold them Lord in your loving care.

It is with much sadness that I share the passing of Gene Ehlers.  He passed away peacefully on the morning of July 23.  He will be cremated.  There will not be a service.  His daughter Lori wants to thank the church for their visits and care.

Kurt Weston who is undergoing treatment for cancer. Please pray for Joy Weaston and her daughter Kimberly who is caretaking for the family.

Hal and Sandy Clayson,

Prayers for Elice and Thor Jenssen, Tante Irene, Thor’s sister, passed away this week from COVID-19.  She lived in Oslo, Norway.

John Stephenson’s friend, Bill Levine.

Marilyn Kloock is recovering well.  Continued prayers please for cousin Brenda who will still need two more surgeries; Jake Trolan is in the hospital and his mom Jan has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Continued prayers for the Sutherland family.

Carol’s friends: Angel and her daughter Sydney who is struggling with an eating disorder and Heidi, whose brother is in critical condition, also, Danielle, Carol’s friend whose father, Dale passed away.

Prayers for the family of Ronald Gentry, who recently passed away.  He and Mary Joe used to be long time members of the church.

Many in our community who are struggling with mental health issues and the increased demands on raising children during “Safer at Home.”  Please hold them in your hearts as we ask God to give them strength for this journey.   We continue to lift up our first responders, public servants, service providers, groceries workers and all those who are working so hard to keep us safe.  As COVID numbers continue to rise, I am learning of more and more people in my wider circle that are being affected by this disease.  Please stay safe.
